The rental insurance will take care of the repairs but you will surely have to pay the excess. An unexpected and unforeseen holiday expense that you had not budgeted for. You're thinking of changing your laptop or television. When buying an electronic device or household appliance, the question on everybody's lips is... Do I need the extended warranty offered by the seller? Some would say no because of the price, and the unlucky or superstitious will say yes for fear of it breaking down a few days after the end of the warranty. By paying with your credit card, you need hesitate no longer... if you buy your new laptop with your Mastercard, the warranty will automatically be extended from 12 to 24 months3. 3 With a limit of CHF 2,000 per card per purchase for a Silver credit card, or a limit of CHF 5,000 per card per purchase for a Gold credit card. The insurance is applicable to electronic devices bought by credit card. The extended warranty will be for 12 to 24 additional months for repair services that were originally covered by the new appliance's warranty. To benefit from the “Extended warranty”, the incident must be insured, 60% of the purchase price must have been paid with your credit card, the device must have been purchased from a merchant located in one of these countries (Switzerland, Germany, France, Liechtenstein, Italy, Austria, Luxembourg), the device must be intended for personal use, must not be more than 4 years old, and its value must be at least CHF 100. |
