With the festive season fast approaching, Crédit Agricole next bank and its employees decided to support Fondation Théodora for the second year running.

What does Fondation Théodora do?

For over 30 years, the Fondation Théodora has been putting smiles back on the faces of children in hospitals and specialised institutions with its “Docteurs Rêves”, or “Dream Doctors”. Working every week in 60 establishments in Switzerland, these 75 professional artists have been specially trained to use their talents in a hospital environment and work in collaboration with the nursing staff. Crédit Agricole next bank and its staff have chosen to support the Fondation Théodora in two ways.

First, the bank approached Fondation Théodora to stock up on greetings cards and chocolates. Indeed, at the end of every year, to mark another year of successfully working together, Crédit Agricole next bank sends a little something to its partners – and this, in the form of greeting cards or chocolates. We therefore decided to extend our collaboration with Fondation Théodora to increase donations, all while combining the useful with the enjoyable.

  • In 2021: We chose the Foundation as supplier for our greeting cards and chocolates;  80% of the greeting-card cost (CHF 3,416) went directly to the mission, while 50% of the total cost for the chocolates (CHF 3,380) went to the mission.
  • In 2022: We again ordered greeting cards from Fondation Théodora, with 80% of the cost (CHF 3,248) going directly to the mission.
  • In 2023: We placed another order for greeting cards with the Foundation, with 80% of the total amount (i.e. CHF 1,739) being paid directly to the Foundation.

For their part, our employees made their contribution by taking part in the Escalade race. For every kilometre run, they raised the symbolic amount of CHF 20 – the equivalent of a visit by a Dream Doctor to a child.

  • In 2021: 53 runners from Crédit Agricole next bank, Crédit Agricole des Savoie and Crédit Agricole Centre-Est raised CHF 6,000.
  • in 2022: Our 74 employees taking part in the Escalade race raised CHF 7,000.
  • In 2023: A record year with 103 employees taking part in the Escalade race, donating CHF 7,000.

Faithful to its slogan "the bank that is very close to you", in good times and in bad, Crédit Agricole next bank is committed to local associations and organisations that contribute to social life and support those who need it most.
